Biografija

Diplomirala je na Pravnom fakultetu Univerziteta u Sarajevu i zaposlila se u Novinsko izdavačkoj kući „Oslobođenje“ gdje je obavljala najsloženije pravne poslove na funkciji direktora Pravne službe i člana Poslovodnog odbora ovog preduzeća.

Položila je Pravosudni ispit u Federalnom ministarstvu pravde, a Medijsko pravo specijalizirala na Univerzitetu “Maryland” u Sjedinjenim Američkim  Državama u okviru prestižnog Fulbrajtovog programa preko Američke Ambasade u Sarajevu
Praksu je obavila u pravnom odjelu „Washington Post“, zatim „Milwaukee Journal Senitinel“, kao i advokatskoj firmi „Levine, Sullivan & Koch“ u Washington, DC-u.

U OHR-u je izabrana među prvim domaćim pravnicima koji su kreirali Nezavisnu Pravosudnu Komisiju, a koja je prerasla u Visoko Sudsko i Tužilačko Vijeće BiH. U Misiji OSCE-a je radila  na poziciji Višeg  Pravnog Savjetnika u Jedinici za reformu javne uprave.

Savez općina i gradova je brojao 50 članova a pod njenim rukovodstvom je ostvareno 100% članstvo tj  ukupno 80 općina/gradova iz Federacije BiH. Gđa Travljanin, sa svojim saradnicima radi na poslovima izrade zakona, lobiranja, pravnih i finansijskih savjetovanja, obuka i seminara za članice, kao i drugim servisima i uslugama koje pomažu općinama da zajedničkim nastupom postignu svoje ciljeve.

Gđa Travljanin ima bogato međunarodno iskustvo: Član je Upravnog odbora NALAS-a (Mreža asocijacija Jugoistočne Evrope), koji broji 15 zemalja iz regiona. Na inicijativu Saveza FBiH ustanovljen je „Sajam lokalne samouprave Jugoistočne Evrope - Nexpo“ koji je 2011. godine u sarajevskoj „Zetri“ okupio preko 2000 gostiju iz 50 zemalja svijeta.

Imala niz javnih nastupa i prezentacija u zemlji i inostranstvu kao što su nastupi na Univerzitetima Maryland i Tuscon (Arizona), Udruženju advokata Washington DC a, Vijeću Evrope u Strazburu ,Evropskoj uniji u Briselu, Akademiji nauka i umjetnosti Bosne i Hercegovine, Uniji gradova Turske, Asocijaciji gradova Italije kao i mnogim drugim institucijama u zemlji i inostranstvu.

Magistrirala je na temu „Pravni aspekt lokalne samouprave u Bosni i Hercegovini sa osvrtom na evropske standarde“.
Dobitnica je prestižne nagrade "Večernjakov pečat" Večernjeg Lista za 2020. godinu u kategoriji "Ponos Bosne i Hercegovine/Uspjeh".

 

Curriculum Vitae

Mrs. Travljanin graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo and started working in the newspaper publisher house “Oslobođenje”, where she performed the most complex legal tasks as the director of the Legal service and member of the Management board of this firm.

She passed the Bar Exam at the Federal Department of Justice, and specialized in Media Law at the University of Maryland in the United States, as part of the prestigious Fulbright Scholar Program through the US Embassy in Sarajevo.

Mrs. Travljanin did her internship in the legal department of the Washington Post, afterwards in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, as well as the law firm “Levine, Sullivan & Koch” in Washington DC.

In the OHR, she was selected among the first bh. lawyers to create an Independent Judicial Commission, which grew into the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH. In the OSCE Mission, she worked as a Senior Legal Adviser in the Public Administration Reform Unit.

The Association of Municipalities and Cities of the Federation of BiH previously had 50 members, and under Mrs. Travljanin’s leadership a 100% membership was achieved, i.e. a total of 80 municipalities/cities from the Federation of BiH. Mrs. Travljanin, together with her associates, works on lawmaking, lobbying, legal and financial consulting, training and seminars for members, as well as other services that help municipalities and cities achieve their goals through joint action.

Ms. Travljanin has extensive international experience: she is a member of the Board of Directors of NALAS (Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South East Europe), which includes 15 countries in the region. At the initiative of the Association, the "Local Government Fair - Nexpo" was established. It gathered over 2000 guests from 50 countries and it took place in the Zetra Olympic Hall in Sarajevo in 2011.

In addition, she has had a number of public appearances and has given presentations at home and abroad, such as appearances at the University of Maryland and the University of Tucson (Arizona), the Bar Association of DC, the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, the European Union in Brussels, the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Union of Turkish Cities, The Association of Italian Cities as well as many other institutions in the country and abroad.

Mrs. Travljanin holds a master's degree on the topic "Legal aspect of local self-government in Bosnia and Herzegovina with reference to European standards." She is the winner of the prestigious award "Večernjakov pečat" of Večernji List for 2020 in the category "Pride of Bosnia and Herzegovina/Success".
